Vintage Notes:
‘Cool & Wet’ : The 2022 season started off with a very late spring freeze, essentially killing off all bud growth. This was followed by a Second crop that began mid-end of May, thus beginning our season. Due to this late start we had a shorter growing season that resulted in a cool and wet Vintage.
Winemaker Notes:
Though 2022 had a peculiar and rough beginning, it ended up rounding out and the fruit came in surprisingly ripe, plump and clean. This wine is the first of its kind, and what an interesting year to produce this inaugural label. I call this Pinot Noir a ‘Cuvee’ as I refer to its use as a ‘Blend’ - as this wine is made of a blend of micro-local Willamette Valley vineyards. All of which the owners are close friends. The blend of clones, and the blend of vineyards showcase a true Oregon Pinot noir.
